1. Scope

This policy applies to subscription payments for KipBiz. It does not affect your statutory rights under the Federal Republic of Nigeria to pursue remedies where we have not met our obligations.

Refunds are discretionary but never a substitute for fixing a problem we caused. If the Service did not work as described, contact us and we will put it right first.

2. Free Trials

A free trial lasts 14 days and is free. We do not charge for a trial and we do not bill automatically when a trial ends.

If you do not subscribe, nothing is charged. Nothing further is needed from you to avoid a charge.

3. When a Refund Can Be Requested

You can request a refund of a subscription payment where:

  • You were charged twice for the same subscription period.
  • You were charged but your subscription never became active, and we did not resolve it.
  • You were charged a plan or amount you did not intend to buy, and you told us promptly.
  • A material feature you paid for was unavailable for a continuous period, and we did not restore it within a reasonable time.

4. How to Request a Refund

Send your request to the support contact provided in your account with the email address on the account, the payment reference and the reason for the request. Tell us as soon as you can; requests made within 14 days of the payment are prioritised.

We will tell you whether a refund is approved and, if it is not, why. If it is approved, we will process it through your original payment method.

5. What Is Not Refunded

The following are not refundable, because the service has already been delivered or the charge has already been used:

  • Part of a billing period you have already used. Where you have used part of a period and the problem is ours to fix, we will instead extend your subscription by the equivalent time.
  • Add-ons or one-off charges that have been delivered or consumed.
  • Change of mind on a renewal where the Service has continued to work as described.
  • Time spent on support or training where the Service itself has performed as described.

6. How Refunds Are Processed

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method through our payment provider. The time it takes to appear on your statement depends on your bank or card issuer, and is typically a few working days once we have submitted it.

We do not refund to a different account or method than the one that paid. Where a payment was made by card, we can only refund to that card.

7. Disputes

If you disagree with a refund decision, reply to our response and we will review it again. Where we still disagree, the governing law and dispute process in our Terms of Service apply.
